"Chicago Women in Trades opened the door for me, and I jumped through with both feet."
Proud of my work.
Emma Williams — an electrician — graduated from Chicago Women in Trades with a passion for her new career.
CWIT changed my life. I was working at 21 as a cashier, and I got over the retail scene quick. With no college degree and no real work experience, I knew I needed a plan. My interest in power and electricity brought me to the trades. I Googled “how to get into the trades,” and it led me to CWIT I know that I am on the right path. I love being an electrician, I love the diversity of the electrical field. My next step is to become an electrical engineer.
