CWIT receives a grant from the Mayor’s Office of Workforce Development
The grant provides technical assistance to One-Stop Centers to increase women’s participation in skilled manufacturing occupations.
CWIT assists with placement on the McCormick Place Expansion Project. Over 200 tradeswomen are employed on the project.
CWIT helps found and lead the Statewide Nontraditional Leadership Team (SNLT)
Comprised of representatives from business, labor, community colleges, universities, state agencies, and advocacy organizations, SNLT focuses on supporting nontraditional career choices for women and girls to address sex equity issues and to make policy recommendations.
