Emergency funds that allow CWIT to reduce students’ and tradeswomen’s barriers to work, which range from industry-created financial barriers (e.g., apprenticeship and union fees, tools, and material costs) to larger personal needs (e.g., rental assistance, major car repairs, and funding for childcare support).
Women in Welding is our welding program that teaches the skills for women to enter high-wage advanced manufacturing positions (and sometimes trade apprenticeships) after only 10 weeks.
Advocacy and technical assistance efforts to enable women to benefit from investment in infrastructure (e.g. retention and career advancement programming, policies and practices that create equitable representation and working conditions for tradeswomen).
